Today (24 March 2025), Mr. Natcha Boonchaiinsawat, Bangkok MP of the Prachachon Party, raised a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister regarding the impact of the spread of the "Black-chinned Tilapia", stating that more than 520,000 people in the aquaculture area, covering 76 districts in 19 provinces, are inviting a severe crisis, while 17,915 aquaculture farms in Thailand nationwide are being directly affected, causing damage to their careers and life security to the point that farmers are unable to continue. The damage is currently estimated at 26,432 million baht per year, not including the trade deficit from importing aquatic animals from abroad every year.
